How to sign in
- Open the admin sign-in page. The address is usually your site domain plus
/admin/login(for examplehttps://your-domain/admin/login). Use the link TimTech or the site owner gave you. - Enter the email from your invitation, and your password.
- After a successful sign-in you land on the admin home.
A few details:
- You cannot sign yourself up for the admin. An owner must invite your email before you can sign in.
- If the sign-in link includes a site parameter, the system opens the branded sign-in page for that site. If you are unsure, use the link the owner sent you.
- Two-factor authentication (MFA) is optional. Ordinary members are not required to turn it on. If you enable it in Account settings, the next sign-in still needs the 6-digit code from your authenticator app after the password is correct. See Account settings.
Forgot your password
On the sign-in page, choose “Forgot password?” That opens the reset page (usually /admin/forgot-password). Finish from the email that arrives.
If you are already signed in and you still know the current password, you can change it in Account settings (same link as above).
How the three roles differ
Site members have three roles. What you can actually do follows your site’s settings. The table is the usual default:
| Role | Who it fits | What they can usually do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The person responsible for the site | Almost all content and settings; invite and remove members; adjust what collaborators can do; brand, navigation, theme, and other critical settings |
| Editor | People who maintain the site day to day | Edit pages, news, docs, and forms; upload images; adjust SEO; use modules the site has turned on and that they are allowed to use (such as foreclosure, the shop, or booking) |
| Viewer | Colleagues who only need to look | Mostly browse the admin. They cannot edit or upload images |
What editors usually cannot change (the default)
These are usually limited to the owner, unless the site has opened them on purpose:
- Brand and basic details (site name, logo, and similar)
- The main menu, contact and social links, and the site theme
- Inviting members, or changing someone else’s role or permissions
- Sensitive payment and key settings, and some advanced connections
If you are an editor and you need one of those, ask the owner to do it, or to widen your permissions.
Who can manage members?
Only the owner can:
- Invite members, change roles, and remove members under Site settings → Members (
/admin/settings/members) - Narrow what editors and viewers can do under Roles and permissions (
/admin/settings/members/permissions)
When permission gets in the way
- A button is grey, a save fails, or a feature is missing from the sidebar: check your role, then ask the owner to review permissions.
- A whole area is gone (for example the shop): the site may not have that module turned on. TimTech has to turn it on for your site. An editor cannot switch it on.
