This page applies only when the platform has opened Agent connection for this site. If the sidebar has no Agent connection, skip it. There is no switch for you to hunt for.
Admin: Site Settings → Agent connection (/admin/settings/agent-connection). The page title is Agent connection.
It gives an approved external AI tool a limited token for this site (for example, to help with SEO). Ordinary page edits and publishing news do not belong here.
Who can change it? The owner, by default. A viewer can open the page but cannot issue or revoke a token.
Do not mix these up
| Feature | What it is for |
|---|---|
| This page | Issue or revoke a token for an external tool |
| Set up the admin assistant | Ask questions from the bottom right of the admin |
| Set up the chat assistant | A visitor chat |
Issue a token
- Fill in a label so you can tell tokens apart later (the tool or the project name).
- Issue a new token. On success, the page confirms that an agent access token was issued.
- The secret is shown once. Copy it straight into that tool’s private settings. Do not paste it into a chat or into the body of an email.
- The list keeps the label, the scope, when it was created, and when it was last used. It does not show the secret again.
If you missed the copy, revoke that token and issue a new one. Do not guess the old string.
Revoke
Revoke a row when the tool is no longer used, when a person or a laptop leaves, or when you suspect a leak. That token stops working at once. The external tool needs a new one.
Care
- A token is a key. Give it only to a tool you trust, and only when the platform or TimTech has agreed to the connection.
- Do not write a token into a public document or a public page.
- Which product to paste it into, and which scopes it has, follow the note from TimTech or the project contact. This handbook does not list the connection steps.
How to check
After you issue it, the tool should be able to read and write what was agreed. After you revoke it, that same old token should stop working at once.
