Customers and the shop can get pushes from the official account (bookings, inquiries, orders).
LINE notify appears in the sidebar (/admin/settings/line) only when commerce or booking is on. No entry means the module is off.
The page sets LINE Login and Messaging API secrets, and binds merchant LINE accounts. Whether a given event is pushed is a switch under store settings or booking settings, not here.
Who can change it? Owners only, by default. After you enter secrets, keep them private. Do not paste them into a public channel.
1. Finish the Developers checklist on the page
Inside LINE Official Account, follow Required LINE Developers steps in order: create a Messaging API channel and a LINE Login channel, publish the Messaging API channel, set Linked LINE Official Account, enable Add friend option, and add both Callback URLs. If one step is missing, a customer may fail to link, or link and still get nothing.
The customer must add the official account as a friend during authorization. Otherwise the platform cannot push.
2. Enter the secrets and save
| Field | What to know |
|---|---|
| LINE Login Channel ID | A string of digits |
| LINE Login Channel Secret | Hidden after it is saved. Enter a new value to rotate. Blank means keep the current one |
| Messaging API Access Token | Same rule |
| Messaging API Channel Secret | Optional |
Press Save settings. Once connected, the form tells you the secrets are not shown.
You can Remove connection. If customers are already linked, the confirm step says they will only receive email afterward.
3. Copy the Callback URLs
The section is LINE Login Callback URLs. Add both URLs to the LINE Login channel (the same Login channel, not Messaging API):
- Customer linking: used on the booking or inquiry success page
- Merchant notify linking: used when you bind a merchant account on this page
The host must match the redirect the system actually uses. After you attach a custom domain, check again. Press Copy.
4. Bind merchant LINE
The section is Merchant LINE binding. You can bind more than one merchant or staff account.
- Save the credentials above first.
- Check that the current site in the header is the site you just saved.
- Press Link LINE for merchant notify and authorize with LINE.
- Under Bound merchant LINE accounts, you can Remove a row later.
Merchant email still uses the contact inbox under general settings. Customer LINE is a member identity on the public site. It is a separate list from the merchant accounts.
The on/off switches for store and booking events are not on this page. See Email notifications, Store and checkout, and Set up notifications and the calendar.
How to check
- This page shows that the connection is configured.
- With a test customer, bind LINE on a success page, confirm they added the official account, and receive one real case (a new inquiry or a booking confirmation).
- Your LINE is on the merchant list, and an admin action pushes to that account (the matching notification switch must be on).
When it sticks
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| LINE notify is missing from the sidebar | Neither commerce nor booking is on. |
| “Configure and save the LINE Official Account above first” | Channel ID, Secret, or Access Token is incomplete. |
| Linking looks successful but nothing is pushed | Messaging API is unpublished, it is not linked to the same official account, or the customer did not add the friend. |
| Binding fails after you switch sites | The credentials live on the other site. Confirm the site in the header, save again, then bind. |
| Callback does not match | Both URLs must be on the Login channel. Update them after a domain change. |
