TimTech sends the notification mail for your site: form submissions, order status, inquiries and quotes, booking reminders, and so on.
Mail is sent by the platform. The admin has no page for your own SMTP host or sending server.
This page covers what an owner or editor can actually control.
1. The site inbox (this one matters most)
Where: Site Settings → General, the contact email (more than one is fine, usually separated by a comma or a semicolon).
Most mail that says “someone filled something in, tell the shop” goes here.
- By default, only the owner can change it.
- Use an inbox someone actually reads, and check spam on a schedule.
2. Form notifications
- After a visitor submits a form, the system emails the site (and you can read the row under form submissions).
- Set the site inbox correctly first.
- Some form editors offer an override for the recipient. If you filled one in, trust whether the mail actually arrived. If it did not, go back to the site inbox and test again.
Editors can maintain forms and read submissions by default. See Forms and submissions, in brief.
3. Commerce notifications (commerce module)
Path: /admin/commerce/store, the Notifications tab.
Order and inquiry switches live together here. You only see the block for a capability the site has turned on (online checkout, inquiries, or both).
3.1 Order mail (online checkout)
You can turn buyer mail on or off by type: order confirmation, payment reminder, paid, shipped, refund, and so on. The list on screen is the source of truth. Most are on by default.
The same area can hide the View order button on the customer LINE card. Turning it off still sends the text card. It only removes the button. It is on by default.
The site can also get order mail at the site inbox. If a merchant LINE is bound, it can be pushed there too.
3.2 Inquiry mail (inquiries)
Typical types (the names on screen win):
| Who | Typical event |
|---|---|
| Customer | Inquiry received, quote sent |
| Site | New inquiry, customer accepted or declined the quote |
- On the inquiry success page, a customer can also bind LINE and then get inquiry and quote notices there (LINE must be set up, and the matching switches must be on).
- The confirmation and the LINE message list an item summary (name and quantity), not only a count.
- The same area can hide the LINE View inquiry button. The card still arrives. Only the link into the inquiry is removed. That fits a shop that quotes back and forth on LINE and does not want the customer in the website.
- A guest quote link usually rides in the email or LINE message. Someone who is not signed in does not get a public list of past inquiries.
Shared notes
- Owners and editors can write ordinary store settings, by default.
- You cannot fully redesign each email’s HTML or the sending brand in the admin. The platform templates do that.
- Inquiry form fields are edited on the Inquiries tab of store settings. Notification switches stay on the Notifications tab. Do not hunt for them in both places.
See Inquiries, in brief and Work an inquiry.
4. Booking notifications (booking module)
The switches sit under Booking settings in the sidebar. See Set up notifications and the calendar.
- Four customer emails: created, confirmed, rescheduled, cancelled.
- Merchant notices (email uses the contact inbox; LINE is bound on the LINE notify page).
- The Look up or cancel button on the LINE card. Turning it off still sends the push. The link inside the email is unchanged.
Each booking service can also set how many hours before the start to remind, whether the LINE bind entry is on, and Google Calendar. If a message is missing, resend it from notification health. See Work a booking.
5. What an owner usually cannot do
- Set their own SMTP or a sending API key
- Edit the platform trigger registry or the underlying mail templates
- Guarantee that a third-party inbox (Gmail and the rest) lands in the primary tab. It can still land in spam.
A useful way to test
- Set the site inbox.
- From another address of your own, send a test form, test order, test inquiry, or test booking on the public site.
- Check all three: the site inbox, the customer inbox, and the submission, order, inquiry, or booking row in the admin.
- If nothing arrives, check spam, confirm the module and the switches, then read The notification email never arrived.
