This chapter applies only when the E-commerce module is enabled on the platform and the account has e-commerce permissions.
E-commerce can be further divided into various sub-capabilities (all must be authorized by the platform, and site owners cannot enable them independently):
| Sub-capability | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Online Purchase | Shopping cart, checkout, payment processing, orders |
| Inquiry | Quotation requests, backend pricing, customer response pricing (does not go through online payment) |
| POS Cash Register | Full-screen store cash register in the backend (cash / external card reader / online); separate selection from online purchase, will not be automatically enabled by activating e-commerce |
Your site may only have part of these capabilities. Sidebar and frontend buttons will appear based on actual authorizations.
The payment and logistics connections under Online Purchase are also enabled by the platform based on the plan:
| Item | Includes |
|---|---|
| Taiwan Online Payment | Green World, NewebPay, PAYUNi (credit card, ATM, convenience store codes, etc.), and online payments for POS |
| International Online Payment | PayPal, Stripe |
| Logistics Integration | Green World delivery, convenience store pickup, convenience store cash on delivery, PAYUNi Black Cat low-temperature delivery |
| International Shipping | Shipping cost areas for overseas delivery |
| Electronic Invoice | Automatic issuance of electronic invoices by Green World |
Items that are not enabled will display 'Not enabled by platform' in the store settings, and the site owner cannot enable them themselves.
Regardless of which items are enabled, bank transfer, cash on delivery, in-store payment, general delivery, and store pickup can be used. See How to Collect Payments Without Integrating Payment Processing.
If there is still online design (Web-to-Print), see Online Design. For in-store cash register, see How to Use POS Cash Register.
What does this module do?
It allows visitors to browse products at the front end; depending on their permissions, they can either 'add to cart and checkout' or 'add to inquiry list and submit inquiry'. The site manages products, orders/inquiries, and store settings in the backend.
Common front-end access points:
- Store:
/shop - Shopping cart/checkout (requires online purchase)
- Inquiry form:
/inquiry(requires inquiry)
You can also link or block direct to the shop on the page. The page editor can insert product list (featured products), product categories (category cards that link to the shop list of that category), or product category homepage (left column categories, middle carousel, right side links). See How to manage product categories.
