This article is complete: Understand what will automatically display on the district page and write a district introduction for the key districts your site focuses on, making these pages easier to be searched.
This chapter is only applicable when the foreclosure module is enabled on the platform.
What is a District Page?
Each district within your site's scope has a page, with a URL like /foreclosure/area/新北市三重區. The page will automatically display:
- Page title, such as 'New Taipei City Sanchong District Foreclosure Houses'
- Market statistics: Foreclosure cases, Average reserve price per ping, Most recent auction date, Auction round distribution
- List of foreclosure cases in this administrative district (can be paginated)
- Browse using filters link for properties in this administrative district (to the foreclosure list with filters applied automatically)
- Links and counts for other administrative districts in the same city
The property list and statistics will automatically update with the platform's foreclosure data, no manual maintenance required.
Visitors can also click on the name of the administrative district in the breadcrumb path at the top of the property detail page to access this page; after the property is closed, the prompts on the page will also link to other properties in this administrative district.
Why write a regional introduction
Websites using the foreclosure module have the same property data, and the statistics on the administrative district page will also be the same. Regional introduction is content written by your site, which is the key to making this page different from other websites.
You can write about your understanding of this area, for example:
- Living functions, transportation, school district
- Recent market trends and transaction status
- Things to pay attention to when buying foreclosure houses in this area
Please write actual information you understand, do not copy articles from other websites.
How to edit
- Sidebar Foreclosure Administrative District Page (
/admin/foreclosure/areas); you can also click Administrative District Page in the upper right corner of the Foreclosure Cases list. - The top of the list will indicate the current search indexing settings; when there are multiple cities within the scope, you can filter using the All Cities dropdown menu. Each row displays Cases (In Auction / All), Area Introduction word count, and Search Indexing status.
- Click on the administrative district name or Edit.
- Write content in Area Introduction. Leaving a blank line will create a new paragraph. The current word count (excluding spaces) will be displayed below, along with Reached indexed word count or Not reached indexed word count. The right side Page Status will show in real-time whether this page will be indexed.
- If needed, customize the SEO title and SEO description in Search Result Display. Leaving it blank will use the gray text in the field, which is automatically generated by the system based on the number of auction items.
- Use the bottom toolbar to Save.
- After saving, click Preview to see how it looks on the front end in a new tab.
Clear all three fields and save, and the page will revert to displaying only automatic content.
Area introduction and SEO text will only be displayed in the website's main language.
Which administrative district pages will be indexed by search engines
Administrative district pages follow the Search Indexing settings in Foreclosure Display (see Foreclosure cases and Search Indexing):
| Search Inclusion Settings | When to Include Administrative District Pages |
|---|---|
| Include All | When there are 3 items in the auction |
| Include Only Enhanced Items | When the area introduction reaches 200 words after removing blanks, and there are items in the auction |
| Do Not Include | Do not include at all |
Administrative district pages without auction items (all items closed) can still be opened, displaying that there are currently no auction items, but will not be included. Administrative districts with no items at all within your site’s scope will not have pages.
Open administrative district pages will automatically be included in the sitemap /sitemap.xml.
List of Search Inclusion Column:
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Included | Search engines can include this page |
| Insufficient Items | Set to include all, but there are fewer than 3 auction items |
| Insufficient Introduction | Set to include only enhanced items, area introduction is less than 200 words |
| No Auction Items | All items have been closed |
| Not Included | Set to not include at all |
Smart Customer Service
When the platform has smart customer service enabled, administrative districts with area introductions will be added to the customer service knowledge base. When visitors ask about this area, customer service can reference the introduction and provide a link to the administrative district page. Clearing the introduction will remove it from the knowledge base.
How to Verify
- After saving, click Preview to confirm that the introduction paragraph and statistics are correct.
- Add
/foreclosure/area/followed by the administrative district name at the end of the URL, for example/foreclosure/area/新北市三重區, to open the front-end page. - Open a property detail page for that district, click on the administrative district name in the path above, and it should lead to the same page.
- Add
/sitemap.xmlto your site URL, search for/foreclosure/area/, and the listed items should be the administrative districts open for inclusion.
Common Issues
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| Cannot find a certain administrative district in the list | This administrative district is not within your site's restricted scope, or there are no properties within the scope. Check How to Adjust Foreclosure Display to confirm the restricted scope |
| Wrote an introduction, but search indexing still says 'Insufficient introduction' | Remove blank spaces to meet the 200-word requirement; remember to save after making changes |
| Preview button cannot be clicked | There are unsaved changes, save first before previewing |
| Cannot see the introduction on English or Japanese pages | Regional introductions are only displayed in the site's main language |
