This chapter applies only when the site has the bookings module on, and the account has permission for bookings.
Visitors pick a time from a booking item. On the admin side you manage resources (staff, rooms, equipment), booking items, booking records, and notifications.
Where a visitor books
| Where | What it does |
|---|---|
| Standalone booking page | /book/{slug}, for example /book/consult |
| Embedded on a page | The section that embeds a booking form, pointed at one booking item |
| Popup | A button action that opens the booking popup, then the booking item for that popup |
You can also link the menu to the standalone page. Booking items that are on and bookable on the public site are included in the sitemap. The customer’s own manage page is not.

Who can do this?
By default an owner and a site editor can write. A viewer can only look.
A workable order
- Create at least one resource, and set its weekly hours (you cannot add a booking item without a resource).
- Then create a booking item, check the resources it can use, and fill in the duration and approval.
- Under Settings, check customer and merchant email, and Google Calendar. LINE secrets are in Set up LINE notifications.
- In a private window, send a test booking from the public
/book/{slug}. - Back on Bookings, check the status and the notification. If the item requires manual approval, the list shows Pending. Press Confirm.
A booking is not a custom form
- A custom form (Contact us, and similar): the visitor leaves a message, and you read it under form submissions. See Forms, in brief.
- A booking: they pick a resource, a date, and a time, and it is written to the bookings list. The booking form inside a booking item is that item’s own questionnaire. It is not a second kind of form.
