When Commerce seems to have vanished, or Conversion tools is missing, do not treat it as a broken system first. The admin sidebar changes with the current site, which features are on, and your permissions.
If you can see the entry but cannot save, or you are sent back to the dashboard, read What to do when permission is denied.
Check in this order
- Is this the right site? The site name at the top should be the one you mean to edit. The wrong site shows a different menu. See Switch sites and use the admin navigation.
- Is the two-level sidebar still on another section? On a wide screen it is “icons on the left, a list on the right”. Click Content, Site, Commerce, and similar icons first, then look for the item. A shorter menu usually means you are still in another section.
- Is the module on? Foreclosure, commerce, bookings, static hosting, the AI features, and Agent connections are licensed by the platform. The site admin has no switch to turn a module on by itself. See How modules are turned on.
- Is the role enough? A viewer, or a role that has been narrowed, hides many items. An owner can compare this in Narrow what editors can do.
- The header search cannot find it either. Search only lists features the sidebar would already show you. If search has nothing, the sidebar usually does not either.
