This page gets you here: password, maintenance, or redirects are on for the campaign page, and the CMS site is unchanged.
All of these settings live on that static site’s Manage page. Each section saves on its own.
Where
Sidebar Static sites → Manage (/admin/static-sites/{id}).
Name, the single-page app option, maintenance mode, and CDN cache sit in one area. Click Save. Other sections have their own buttons.
Visitor password
Section Visitor password (optional).
- Enter a password and click Set password. The first visit asks for it. After that, the same browser does not ask again for a while.
- After you change it, visitors must enter it again.
- To make it public again, click Disable password (or leave it empty, which counts as off). The note on the screen: save an empty password to turn the gate off.
A page with a password does not use the CDN.
Maintenance mode
Check Maintenance mode, then click Save. Visitors see a maintenance page instead of your HTML. Uncheck it and save again to bring the live content back.
This is separate from maintenance for the whole CMS site, and from the platform disabling the site. If the platform disables your CMS site, the static sites under it also stop being public.
Single-page app (SPA)
Check Single-page app (serve homepage when a path is missing), then save.
- Off (the default): a missing path shows a not-found page. That fits a normal multi-page site or a landing page.
- On: this fits a React or Vue app that has only one
index.html. Files with an extension (.css,.png) are not replaced with the homepage.
Redirects and 404
Section Redirects. Exact path match, up to 50 rules. The target can be a path on the site (such as /new) or a URL that starts with https://.
- Click Add rule. Fill the source path, the target, and 301 or 302.
- Click Save redirects.
- Remove deletes a row. Save again afterward.
If the ZIP has 404.html at the outermost level, visitors who open a missing file see that page, and the browser status is still not found (404). If the single-page app option is on, paths without an extension still show the homepage first. They do not use the 404 page.
This list is separate from the CMS Public path redirects.
CDN cache
The CDN cache menu:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Off (always origin) | Do not cache at the edge |
| Standard (recommended) | HTML about 1 minute; CSS and images about 7 days |
| Aggressive (HTML 5 min, assets 30 days) | A longer cache |
Pages with a visitor password, and preview pages, do not enter the CDN. After you publish, roll back, or change settings, the platform clears that site’s cache. When CDN is on, the platform traffic numbers below increase only on a cache miss.
Traffic (last 28 days)
The section shows view counts, Top pages, and Referrer hosts. It counts only successful opens of published pages. Preview and search-engine crawlers are not counted, and visitor IP addresses are not stored. This is a platform count, separate from the main site’s GTM / GA4. When there is nothing yet, it shows No data yet.
Forms on the static page
A <form> in the ZIP is rewritten so the platform receives it. Submissions land in Read form submissions, and the platform tries to email the main site’s contact inbox. Put a visitor email field on the form, or the notification cannot be sent.
Do not wire payments inside the ZIP. Take payment through Commerce, in brief.
How to check
- Password on: a private window asks the first time. After it is accepted, the content is visible.
- Maintenance on: the public address is the maintenance page. Turn it off and the content returns.
- Redirect: opening
/oldgoes to/new(the status code follows 301 or 302). - SPA: reloading a deep path still shows the app, while
style.cssis still the stylesheet.
When it gets stuck
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| A redirect change did nothing | You did not click Save redirects, or the path is not an exact match (with or without a trailing slash) |
| SPA is on, but you still get 404 | The ZIP root has no index.html |
| Traffic stays at 0 | You have not published, or you only opened the preview. A CDN hit is also left out of the platform count |
| The form never reaches the admin | Confirm it is published (not a preview), and that the site contact inbox is filled in |
