Edit the menu

Add and reorder header and footer links, and choose where each one goes.

This page finishes one job: visitors can open the right pages from the header, and from the footer. By default, only the owner. The look of the components is in Choose the components .

Where

Site → Header and footer (/admin/settings/nav).
Edit the header menu in the header block, and the footer links in the footer menu block.
Press Save at the bottom.

Add a link row. The button may say Add or Add a row; use the one on screen.
Fill the label. With more than one language, switch the tab and fill it again.
Choose the link target:

A page on the site
News, custom content, the Docs center
Entrances for modules that are on (the shop, product categories, the court-auction list, Booking, and so on)
A custom URL (external, or a special path)
Open in a new tab, when you need it

Drag to reorder. You can make a two-level group (a parent plus child links). A group can have a title link, the page the group name opens, using the same targets as the child links, including the shop and product categories. You can also choose None, so the name only opens the submenu.
After saving, click through on the public site, or in a private window.

With the mega menu on, a group opens as full-width columns. Set the links for each column in the menu. See Choose the components .

Each group allows at most 6 columns, and each column at most 12 links (72 in total). Saving fails, with a specific reason, if you go over the limit, leave a label blank, or leave a group with no links at all.

If a module is off, its target may be missing from the list, or it will not appear on the public site.
For a large change, publish the new pages first, then point the menu at them in one pass, so visitors do not land on drafts.
The old main menu on the basic settings page now lives here. That page only links across.
